Lightbulb Project
Our
Mission Statement
As students
dedicated to protecting the environment, those
of us who are in Poolesville High School's
Global Ecology Studies Program are attempting to
BRIGHTEN UP POOLESVILLE!
by encouraging
people to change at least one light bulb in
their home to an energy efficient Compact
Fluorescent Light Bulb.
Together we
can make a difference.

Black Gold And Green
Yeah, what's up with the
website name: www.blackgoldandgreen.com,
I don't get it? The name is based upon
the fact that the Poolesville High
School colors are Black and Gold, and
the Green, that is based upon our
mission. When we say something is green
it generally means clean or something
that does not harm the environment.
