2007-2008:

The Global Research and Experimentation class (class of 2010) made an interactive map using an ArcView software called GIS, which shows all of the houses in Poolesville. We took the data we gathered at Poolesville Day and represented it on our map, showing how many homes have changed at least one lightbulb.

March 12,th 2008: Presentation to 10th Grade Global Class

We, Global Research and Experimentation class (class of 2010), presented the Brighten Up Poolesville Project to the 10th Grade Global NSL Classes (class of 2010). A similar presentation to the one we gave to the 9th graders.

March 5th, 2008: Presentation to 9th Grade Global Class

The Global Research and Experimentation class (class of 2010) presented the Brighten Up Poolesville to the 9th grade global class (class of 2011). We gave them the background of the project, what we have accomplished, and presented them with the challenge to continue this project next year.

September 8th, 2007: Poolesville Day

The Global Research and Experimentation class (class of 2010) had a booth at Poolesville Day to share the Brighten Up Poolesville Initiative with the Poolesville community and those who attended Poolesville Day. Also, we gathered data about how many incandescent bulbs plan to change. Those who signed our pledge, pledging to switch at least one light bulb to a fluorescent one, we gave a discount coupon to Poolesville Hardware for a two pack of fluorescent bulbs.

2006-2007:

During the 2006-2007 school year, Poolesville High School Students (Class of 2009) pioneered the Brighten Up Poolesville Initiative as a project for Mr. Timothy Short's class.
